Raven Silver & Gold Box

Sterling silver & 24K gold. With oxidization (black lines)

This piece was inspired by a cedar bentwood box, circa 1850, created by an artist known only as the Master of the Black Field. He was one of the great master artists of the past, who has been lost to history.

A rare technique is used to fuse the pure gold settings into the sterling silver. The gold is set flush into the silver and no glue and no solder is used.
