Chief Mountain is Niss'ga from the village of Greenvill (Lakkulzap) in the Nass Valley. He was a shaman and controlled the fur trade in his area in the 1880's.

This piece incorporates hand engraving with a coin from the Indian Heritage Series of commemorative coins, which featured First Nations people of historical importance.
